The client

Leavens Automotive Group is a prominent player in the automotive industry in Southwestern Ontario. In 2021 they acquired a Mazda dealership and rebranded it as Leavens Mazda, aiming to strengthen their presence in the competitive automotive market and attract more customers through enhanced digital advertising. 

The brief

Leavens Mazda needed a strategic partner to improve their digital advertising after a major rebranding. The goal was to raise brand awareness and generate more leads for their newly branded dealership. We collaborated closely with Leavens Automotive Group, the general manager of Leavens Mazda, and Mazda Canada to make sure our digital advertising strategies aligned with both local and national goals. By providing strategic input for video content creation, we enhanced the effectiveness of our advertising efforts. 

Additionally, we maintained a flexible strategy that allowed us to adapt to changing market conditions, such as shifting our focus to pre-owned vehicles and trade-ins during the global chip shortage when new inventory was limited. 

In the competitive automotive market, Leavens Mazda aimed to meet sales targets and attract new customers who were not yet familiar with their brand. To achieve these goals, we focused on: 

  • Increasing direct inquiries and vehicle sales 
  • Boosting online visibility and brand recognition 
  • Engaging potential customers through targeted advertising campaigns 

The work

Our paid media strategy uses Google Ads and Meta Ads to reach specific audiences at every stage of the buying journey.  

Branded Google search campaigns made sure customers looking for the old dealership could easily find Leavens Mazda, while Mazda-specific search ads attracted new potential customers. Additionally, targeted YouTube and display ads promoted pre-owned vehicle sales, ensuring broad outreach and maximizing returns on investment. 

We also used Facebook and Instagram ads to highlight unique dealership offerings and monthly promotions, building a strong social media presence.
