The client
The Adventures Group, a global leader in adventure tours and services, has been specializing in luxury and adventure tours across Mexico and the Caribbean since 1995.
Operating in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, and Cancun, they offer a wide range of safe and exciting tours, from ultimate adrenaline experiences to enlightening cultural day trips.
The brief
The marketing team at The Adventures Group came to us with two main objectives:
- Firstly, they aimed to enhance their local presence and boost revenue from local searches. With operations in three major Mexican tourism hubs and multiple locations within each city, The Adventures Group recognized a substantial opportunity to increase revenue by optimizing their Google Business Profiles.
- Secondly, like many leaders in the tourism industry, The Adventures Group sought to reduce dependency on referral websites and third-party vendors by growing their direct traffic and transaction revenue. They also aimed to foster long-term customer relationships and improve customer lifetime value (CLV).
The approach
Our strategy was simple:

Ensure that visitors who already have specific vacation plans can easily find the tour pages, and that those who are still exploring tour options while on vacation would find our homepage. We aimed to facilitate their tour planning whether in advance or during their stay.

Capture the attention of potential customers who are in the early stages of vacation research. By providing useful content, we aimed to assist them in planning their trips and familiarizing themselves with the destination city well ahead of their travel dates.
The work
The project involved optimizing all Google Business Profiles to leverage available features, alongside a continuous strategy for updates and enhancements. This initiative led to increased visibility and organic traffic within the first 90 days. Enhanced measurement capabilities ensured accurate tracking and evaluation.
Guided by content gap analyses and competitive research, we created impactful blogs and supporting content to broaden the range of keywords the website ranked for. This approach not only targeted top-of-funnel search queries but also showcased The Adventures Group as a thought leader in animal wellness, tour safety, and culture in Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, and Cabo.
Comprehensive on-page optimization of tour pages significantly boosted rankings, organic traffic, and revenue from transactional searches, both domestically and in their target market, the United States.
With a wealth of available blog content, we expanded each page’s reach for top- and mid-funnel search queries, further increasing high-quality organic traffic.
