As Co-Founder and COO at Foundery, Kim Atkinson oversees communications and the digital success of our clients, providing ongoing support to both the team and clients.
With a background in Psychology and Anthropology from Western University, Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in business, communications, and marketing to the Foundery team. She is a leader in client interactions and project management, with a strong focus on building long-term, strategic partnerships.
Kim is deeply passionate about community building, supporting local businesses, and sharing her knowledge of the ever-changing digital marketing industry whenever possible. She is actively involved in local community groups and organizations and is an avid networker, community speaker, mentor, and volunteer. In addition to her extensive community involvement, Kim is committed to supporting and promoting London’s flourishing tech community.
Through this passion, Kim is actively involved in several organizations that support entrepreneurship, tourism, and business growth. She currently serves on the Board of Directors at TechAlliance, contributing to the growth of London’s technology ecosystem. She is a long time participant on the on the Fanshawe College Program Advisory Committee and is a former member of the London Small Business Centre Board of Directors, where she supported entrepreneurs and small businesses across the region. Kim was also a Libro Owner Representative, reflecting her commitment to cooperative business and financial inclusion. Kim is a member of Skål International London, part of a global organization of tourism leaders dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism, trusted business relationships, and industry collaboration. Through Skål, Kim is actively engaged with tourism operators, destinations, and hospitality leaders locally and internationally, supporting the growth of Canada’s travel and tourism sector.
Kim’s expertise extends beyond her direct work at Foundery. She is a frequent podcast guest and industry speaker, contributing to conversations around digital strategy, agency leadership, entrepreneurship, and business growth. She recently appeared on the Agency Together podcast with Audrey Kwan, sharing the behind-the-scenes story of building and rebranding a long-running agency. She was also featured on the Canadian SME Small Business Magazine podcast in an episode titled “Revolutionizing Digital Engagement with #KimAtkinson | Canadian SME” where she shared insights on SEO and digital marketing, the importance of looking beyond rankings, and how psychology influences marketing effectiveness.
